Fantasy

I have never written fantasy before but after reading a few fantasy novels/series, I got inspired!

I created a world full of different power dynamics, Faeries, and courts, and decided to throw a human into the mix. On top of all of that, there is an underlying love story.

Brooklyn, an emissary for the human realm, makes a trip to Celestia, a fae realm on the other side of a magical wall. While on her yearly trip, she stumbles upon Sorren, the High Lord of Verdorath, punishing a Verdorathian citizen for treason by using his powers to drain the fae male of his. In an attempt to keep Brook quiet, Sorren turns her fae and makes her his wife and the High Lady of Verdorath to throw others off the trail. While trying to come to terms with her new life, she begins to actually develop feelings for her new husband.

I am about 7 chapters in but this is the type of work that I delete a lot of my ideas because it just doesn’t flow the way I want it to.

Romance

I always write romance. It’s my favorite genre to read and write. 99% of what I write is romance.

“Savior” follows Chelsea, a midwestern girl who moves to the Pacific Northwest chasing a dream of freedom while simultaneously running from her past. She moves into a house split into multiple apartments and meets her upstairs neighbor Jesse who is a cop for the town they live in.

While she explores her new life in a new town with a cute new neighbor, her past catches up with her and not in a good way.

I have written this work in dual POV so each chapter is the other character’s point of view. It is different than anything I have written before because I usually write in first person point of view of a single main character. I also always write from the female perspective because, well, I am a female. So exploring a male perspective is interesting and pushes me to try new things.
